My wonderful mom, Cathy, celebrated a birthday milestone last month, and we decided to take a trip together to mark the event. She flew up to Alaska to visit the Twinskis for a couple days and treated me and Joe to an overnight stay at Alyeska. Then we flew down to California together for a week of mother-daughter bonding. We had a birthday dinner out, did lots of clothes and shoes shopping, toured the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, hit the gym, walked on the beach and relaxed.

Thanks again for helping me out this week...both for watching the boys on Saturday and for helping us get out of the house on Sunday. We had a great time!
