Sweet mother of Mary! On Thursday I was convinced that spring was here for sure. Our yard was clear of snow for the second time this month and the temps reached 60 degF during the week. My hopes were dashed yet again when I woke up this morning to snow. It has been snowing all day and has accumulated at least 12 inches so far. And it's still snowing! I didn't believe this when I read it in the newspaper, but maybe the arctic really is fighting back against global warming... Maybe we should move out of state... 6+ months of winter is taking its toll on ol' Hess.

Slacker
I didn't realize I was a blog slacker until I downloaded a bunch of pictures that had been languishing in my camera. It seems just yesterday that I updated the blog yet so much has happened.
CSI: Biter's Unit The biting continues at daycare. We had yet another conference about biting today. Here is a broken skin bite on Henry that he received yesterday. The perp remains anonymous, but we know (s)he has sharp upper front teeth that can slice back skin through two layers of clothing.

Grandpa, Caitlin & Marie
It was only a week ago that we had a few visitors from Oregon. My dad and two sisters came to visit us over a long weekend. We had lots of fun snowboarding at Alyeska, ice fishing near Kincaid Park, playing at the school, watching Donald Duck cartoons and challenging each other at backgammon. Good times!

Stacking cans
Here are some pictures of Henry (in red) and Nathan stacking cans. It is one of their new favorite hobbies, and they are really good at it! I will post some pictures of our weekend with Grandpa, Caitlin and Marie soon.
